I spent three perfect mornings on this painting, my first plein air piece ever. I can tell you, I've had some rough days painting since this idyllic beginning, and if my first day had been one of those, I might not have greeted each consecutive dawn with so much eager anticipation. But those early days at Raymer's Cove have set the mood for all my future endeavors, and I will always be grateful for the quiet mornings I've experienced there.
